March Madness!!! The writers' version, anyway.

March is a great month for North Texas Writers. Two of our authors, Michael Hilton and Carly Huss, are getting published.

Michael Hilton

Michael is a time traveler from the future who’s come back to warn us of the impending literary apocalypse. An avid reader of Young Adult science fiction and fantasy, he writes novels and short stories to stave off the coming wasteland of soulless fiction. One day his Wikipedia page will describe his warnings as “Mildly prophetic,” and “Mostly exaggerated.” He lives in Irving, Texas, working as a chiropractor by day, a vigilante by night, and a novelist all the time.

He is represented by Patty Carothers and Amy Brewer at Metamorphosis Literary Agency and is published by INtense Publications.

Bobby Robot March 20, 2020

Sixteen-year-old Bobby is the only human on a robot-inhabited planet. Aided by LINC, his cybernetic haywire task assistant, he must prove to the bots that the human race is worth restarting by passing his Programming, the training he receives to think and act in perfect precision—and without emotion. Failure will force him to upload his mind into the Tether, a robotic host, stripping him of his humanity and terminating his species’ last chance for survival. As he repeatedly falls short of the bots’ rigorous standards, he begins to question if the human race is even worth reviving. But when a beautiful girl named Jen crash-lands on his planet, she makes him question everything the bots have told him, including what it means to be human. Published by Intense Publications.

Carly Huss

Carly lives half her life in Lewisville, Texas and the other half in fantasy land. She’s been known for telling stories since she could string sentences together, but it wasn’t until she developed a love for fiction that her stories morphed into tales and eventually novels.

She is the leader and founder of North Texas Writers, a critique group made of writers who are passionate about helping each other become authors. She writes Young Adult and Adult novels, often with a touch of sci-fi/fantasy, always with a handful of kissing.

A Kiss from Cupid March 15, 2020

Freya Darling is in love with love—which is kind of perfect because she’s a Cupid. When a lucky couple is assigned to her and bond their love irrevocably, her job is done.

There’s just one problem. In her personal time, Freya refuses to date. Why risk heartbreak if a Cupid will match her up when the time is right? When she’s assigned to an elderly couple, she realizes she may have to wait until her hair turns grey to find true love. And that is unacceptable!

In a moment of weakness, Freya steals her own Fated card from Cupid’s vault—and the name on the card is the last one she wants to see. So what if fellow Cupid Rupert Lovett claims to be in love with her. So what if the human she has her eye on isn’t meant for her at all. What could possibly go wrong?
